Wild West Opportunities
Account Director, Truro, Cornwall
Our Account Directors are inspiring, experienced and hugely effective operators. They know what it takes to win new business, develop commercially-minded campaign strategies and deliver award winning programmes. And we’re looking for another to join the team.
If you have a minimum of five year’s PR agency experience, ideally FMCG brands, your specialisms could include (but not exclusive to) food, drink, travel and (West Country) lifestyle, then read on.
What’s in it for you? You get to work with a pretty awesome team of individuals who love cake as much as they love double page solus client features, a roster of clients that span FMCG, challenger brands and game-changing start-ups – and you get to do this 30 mins from a beach! We have a sister agency in London, so you’ll also get to spend time in the Big Smoke. Plus, our benefits package is highly competitive and reflects the level of seniority this opportunity offers.
What we need from you…
Drive a team through your brilliance and guidance
Provide considered client counsel
Strategic, creative campaign thinking
A keen eye for the numbers and a budget
Digitally confident with a multi-channel approach
Have amazing media and business relationships
Coach, mentor and motivate
If the above has whet your appetite for a career with Wild West, please send your CV to Katherine.email@example.com
Account Manager, Truro, Cornwall
Plenty of responsibility and accountability comes with this role, and if your passions are all things food, drink, travel and West Country lifestyle that would be an advantage, although more important is your ambition, your opinions, and your media contacts. This is a role for someone who loves media results and is hungry for it. Media relations, product placement and more complicated feature placement are all a major part of this role as well as being really comfortable with social & digital and their role within the PR mix. You’ll also be a strong networker, hugely organised and like to bring experiences back into the agency.
You will have exceptional attention to detail and be a confident copy writer, as well as a people person. Experience in an agency environment will be a strong advantage.
Good support will be around you, and will help you reach where you know you want to go.
Please send your CV to Katherine.firstname.lastname@example.org
Wild Card Opportunities
Account Executive, Wild Card, London
Our pitch story is simple.
“If you love food, drink and the finer things in life, want to specialise in a space that already fuels your everyday, and want to feel like an individual who can shape your own direction, we should talk”.
It’s less about hyperbole for us, and more about an agency very comfortable in our own skin where the team deliver creativity in context.
We are the people who set up and ran a ‘ricestaurant’ for Tilda to capitalise on freestyle cooking trends from one core ingredient kick off,; who built and ran an authentic New York style bagel shop to revamp family breakfast thinking; who have struck commercial deals with the likes of Harvey Nicks and Dirty Burger for our creative client concepts; and who this week have launched a ‘taste not waste’ café with longer lasting cream Elmlea for ‘Stop Food Waste day’ as well as landing a swathe of Games of Thrones themed coverage for our life sized House of Stark cakes for (the House of ) Stork. Not to mention smart campaigns for clients with legendary chefs, front of camera talent, and influencers such as Theo Randall, Judy Murray, Jamie Laing and Ruby Bhogal to name a few.
All without losing sight of what matters to you as an individual. This opportunity is about you as much as it is about us if you are thinking of changing jobs.
So you’ll be busy, not bored. As part of our Project 2020 you’ll get to develop those areas of your job where you have most affinity and interest (recent promotions have focused on news, media relationships, travel and influencers as specialisms). You’ll have the proactive remit to get out and carry on forging media and influencer relationships rather than be desk bound. You’ll be client facing and important to both long term and new client names for us. New business leads you bring to the table will be rewarded. We have a Cornwall office we will encourage you to visit and work from. We’ll listen to what you want to add to our weekly drinks trolley. And you’ll be able to indulge your love of food as the fabric of our everyday office conversation, opinion sharing and Friday quizzes. And bring your playlist A game to suit the democracy of Sonos.
We like our hires to come with opinions on life; an attitude to media outreach and relationships that is strategic rather than scattergun; questions and suggestions; and a zip in your step. Cinnamon buns are optional but advisable.
Exact portfolios tend to be fitted to the individuals we hire, but current clients include: Highland Spring; New York Bakery; Tilda; Bertolli; Stork; Gu; Mazzetti Balsamic Vinegar; Allied Bakeries; Starbucks; Tetley; Elmlea; Gin Mare; Donald Russell; Monin and Villeroy & Boch.
If that’s a yes – we want to hear from you! To get in touch, please send your CV to Katherine.email@example.com.
