Announce the launch of the opening of Bristol Harbour Hotel – the first city centre opening for the group – to national media, driving awareness and bookings.

What we did…

Our campaign hinged on our insight of ‘experiences being the new currency’. The team utilised the building’s heritage and architecture to profile the grand Sansovino Hall events space and create a visually led media relations campaign – positioning the Bristol Harbour Hotel as a must-see ‘experience’.

What happened next?

The team coordinated key media and influencer invites to the official launch event, attended by over 300 guests, to celebrate the hotel’s opening – capturing photography for post-event exposure and conducting hard hat tours for first look features. Overall, the four-month campaign generated over 50 pieces of national coverage – 55% of which featured in A* and A publications, including a solus eight page hotel restaurant food feature in The Times, Eat! magazine.3,956 Smart Media points achieved – 14% over target. The restaurant had sold 2,000 covers before opening, which achieved standout coverage in the hospitality and travel trade press.
